Numerous restaurants and bars do showcase their own color palette and decorative touches, such as distressed shutters and yellow armchairs at the Italian eatery, and patterned lancet windows at the Lebanese restaurant. The design throughout is classically sophisticated, done in largely neutral tones, tons of sleek marble, striking light fixtures, and some velvet touches. Fortunately, the hotel created the property in a way that guests never have to walk far to reach one of the pools, bars, and dining options. The whopping 1,316 rooms are spread among low-rise buildings, though some may be a bit far from the main building. Hallways off either side of the lobby are filled with shops and dining outlets, and outdoors, sidewalks meander through nine pools, water elements, garden grounds, and a water park. The lobby sets the stage for the atmosphere here: elegant, luxe, and typically bustling. I believe that this will be cheaper than booking directly with the hotel but you also get more perks. If you go down this route, the Palace member will request the Grand section and it will then be on your booking confirmation that you get directly from the hotel. The Moon Palace is an amazing holiday but the Moon Palace with a black wrist band is even better.
We have been twice before through a UK travel agent and wouldn't go back without booking through a member.
This year, we actually booked our accomodation through a VIP Palace member so we got free all inclusive golf, massage, pedicure and manicure on top of $3,000 credit ($1,500 for each week). Although I would hasten to add that we have stopped at all sections of teh Moon except the golf villas and always had a great holiday. Hi we stopped at the grand side in July this year - we upgraded to a family suite in the sunrise side and all of us agreed that we should have stopped at the grand - just much nicer.
